Everyday with Rachael Ray for $3.99

Not sure how long this one is gonna last. Currently you can get a one-year subscription to Everyday With Rachael Ray for $3.99. Normal subscription rate is $39.90 per year, so this is quite a savings. Enter code EVERYDAY at checkout to take the current price of $23.99 down to $3.99. Plus you can choose to pay with PayPal for greater buying confidence, which is something I always like.

40% off at Borders

Now through 5/1, you can get 40% off ANY single item in-stores or online at Borders. Usually these sorts of promos are reserved only for books, but it looks like you can use it for anything, including gift sets for Mother's Day!

The only catch is that you have to be a Borders Rewards member, but it's free to join/sign-up and you can do so here.

Earth Fare Organic Coupons

I have never heard of Earth Fare market before but it appears to be something like a Trader Joes.

Anyway, they have a page full of coupons for organic and natural products. While a few might be specific to that store, most of them seem to be manufacturer's coupons that you can use at ANY store.

Print them out while you can!!

Eucerin Daily Skin Balance Cream Sample

I posted about a sample of this back here, but there is a new offer for it from the Eucerin Website. So if you missed it, you can get it again! Some are saying even if you signed up for the previous offer, you can sign up for this one as well.

Baskin Robbins 31 cent scoop night!

Tomorrow, May 28th, Baskin Robbins will be hosting their annual 31-cent scoop night. If you go to a participating shop between the hours of 5-10pm, you can get any flavor of ice cream for 31 cents a scoop.

They are limiting to three scoops per person, but 93 cents for a three scoop cup/cone is pretty awesome.

Here are more details on the event
. You might want to call ahead and make sure that your local store is participating in the event.

Shopping today

I have officially had about 5 people tell me that they want to go shopping with me, my mother included. LOL Looking for good deals while shopping is fun. Today I went clothes shopping. What can I say, I'm a girl, plus I'm donating some clothes I don't wear anymore, so I need to replenish...

I went to Towson Town Mall, which is four floors of love for someone who likes to shop. It's one of those malls with a lot of "up-scale" shopping, but that doesn't mean you have to spend "up-scale" money.

Wet Seal: (I don't often shop here, but at clearance but 1, get 1 for 0.01, I can work with it)

This Crochet Peasant Top was on clearance for $12.99, I got it in the bright white. Orginally $24.99

I also got this Boyfriend Cardigan (no longer available online) for 0.01
due to their sale. Orignally priced $20, clearanced at $10.99

Aeropostale: Again, a store I don't really shop in anymore, but I had a $10 off coupon, so I figured I could find something. (Double click images to maximize)

The first necklace I got in pink and in blue, and the third item is actually a bracelet. All of these were on clearance at 70% off and were all $3 each = $12 total. Minus the $10 off coupon I had, I got all four of these for $2. These regularly sell for $12-$16 each and are no longer available online.

H&M: I do get some nice work appropriate pieces there.

I got a really cute top on clearance here. It was a floral peasant style top. I can't find a pic online, but maybe I'll look for one tomorrow. It was $5 on clearance, originally $24.95.

Bath and Body Works: A must stop.

I got the Deep Aqua preview size lotion, the adorable nail file and another sweet pea hand sanitizer all for $1 each. I also got the Cherry Blossom hand lotion travel size (originally $5) for free with the "Free Travel Item With Any Purchase" coupon. So I got all 4 items for $3.

I wandered the mall for awhile longer, then left to go to Kohls, where I got a couple other cute tops on clearance at $4 each.

Ahhh, I just love retail therapy. It's so relaxing.

By Request: Express for Men

Such a Rarity for Express!!

In the Men's store, there is a promo, if you buy three graphic tees, you can get them each for $19.50, or if you buy two, then they are $22.50 a piece. Originally these are $29-$40, so this seems to be a pretty good deal.

Here is a link for a coupon, if it's needed, which I'm not sure it is. It says the coupon must be surrended at time of purchase, but some stores don't require it. Print it anyway, just in case!

Valid through May 2nd!

Vera Bradley Sale!

Vera Bradley is taking 20% off ALL SALE ITEMS now through April 25th. I've said before I'm not a fan of Vera Bradley, just can't get into the hype, but there are a lot of diehard fans, so I figure someone would benefit from this.

There is no code needed for checkout, the extra 20% is taken off automatically.

Eucerin Daily Skin Balance Cream Sample

Head on over to Walmart.com to snag a free sample of Eucerin Daily Skin Balance Hand Creme. I work for a derm, so I usually leave freebies like this alone, but sizes like these are good to keep in your purse or to take with you when you travel.

New Yankee Candle Coupon

There is a new Yankee Candle printable valid through May 9th to save $10 off your purchase of $25.

Another good Mother's Day Idea!!

Kohls Save 15% on EVERYTHING

Barnes and Noble Mother's Day Gifts

Barnes and Noble now has a special section dedicated to Mother's Day Gifts. (You all didn't forget, right?) They have all sorts of gifts, books, DVD's, Home Sets, etc. You can even shop by price point.

Noe through April 25th (Sunday) if you enter the code M4U8F7F at checkout, it will deduct 50% off the price of one gift item. This discount only works on items with the icon: "Mother's Day Gifts" on the item description page.

BEWARE OF COUNTERFEIT COUPONS!

There is a coupon floating around that looks like this
This coupon is a fraud, do not use it.

There is a good article to read about fraudulent printable coupons - which ones are frauds and how to spot a fraudulent coupon. They have a list of about 70 coupons that you should not use if you find them.

Remember if you print coupons from the internet, only print from trusted sites such as manufacturer's sites, stores websites, and coupon sites (like smartsource and coupons.com).

Thanks Frugalicious Fun for the heads up!

Alright guys

One more final to go on Monday night and I promise you all will have a lot more of my attention.

This final on Monday night, while not really hard, has a lot of material covered on it which makes it difficult. I have a pretty sweet GPA going at the moment, so I'd like to try and keep it in the sweet range. This means I need to study until I'm cross-eyed and it also means I'll be scarce probably until Monday night or Tuesday.

I might post a thing or two, here or there, but that'll be it for a couple days.

Wish me luck!

Grrrr

So I had a severe computer malfunction tonight.

I get home from work, get comfy on the couch with my laptop and a bowl of spaghetti with every intent to check my email/update blogs/etc. Then I try to open Firefox and it crashes....repeatedly. I try to open Internet Explorer....and it says it's unresponsive....repeatedly. So I have a major WTF moment and start running every Ad-Ware/SpyWare/Anti-virus software I have thinking I have a major virus. All systems clear and nothing found by any scanner, my browsers still aren't opening.

Finally, I just bite the bullet and have to do a system restore to two days ago in order for everything to act happy again. It only took me about 5 hours to get my browsers back. :sigh:

Needless to say, I didn't do what I wanted to do tonight. It'll get done tomorrow, because I am now too tired to do much of anything.

Night all!

Kmart Super Doubles Week

All this week Kmart's are doubling coupons up to $2!! So any $2 coupon is now worth $4. This can make for a lot of free or close-to-free items. I'm not a huge fan of Kmart so I'm staying out of this one.

You have to be a member of Sears/Kmart's Show Your Way Rewards program and show your card at checkout in order to receive the doubles rewards. The card is free and you can sign up for it in the store if you aren't already a member.

Note: Not ALL stores participate. There is a master list here of the stores that are participating in the coupon event.

This is ONLY for Manufacturer's coupons, not mart Coupons, or Kmart Pharmacy coupons. You can use them as you normally would but they will NOT double.

Also, I'm not guaranteeing how many you can use. I've read that some stores only allow doubled coupons per transaction, but I also have a friend that works for the company that says they usually take up to 25. NOW DON'T QUOTE ME ON THE AMOUNTS YOU CAN USE. I'm not 100% sure. The best I can tell you is to call your store or ask to speak to a manager when you go in for more details on how many you can use.

Long day = Long post

So...with my two big papers of the semester over and done (and graded...both A's, tyvm), I decided to treat myself to a little shopping. That, and it was too beautiful outside to be stuck in the house all day studying for finals. So, I hit the AC in the Jeep and went around town seeing what I could find.

First stop was the mall for a leisurely stroll around.

I checked out Macys because, well, I love their handbags and looking at them always makes me happy. Then strolled around the clothes and found these pants:

These are so cute for work and very comfy. Plus they are LONG!!! It's so hard for me to find pants long enough, so despite them being a size too big, I got them anyway. I can always have them taken in by a tailor. PLUS......They were on sale. These pants were only $14.99 on sale from $49. Excellent buy at 70% off, IMO.

Then it was off to Sears. I know Sears is the best place to buy tires...whatever. They're clothing clearance can be amazing at times.

I got these two tops there:

They'll probably be more for next year now, since Baltimore heard it was April and decided 90 degree weather was most appropriate, but the pink top was 1.99 and the teal one was 2.99. They were both originally $19.99 each, and were on the 80%+ off rack. You can never have too many shirts, especially when you hate doing laundry, like I do.

Next up, Bath and Body Works.
I had a coupon for a Free Travel Item with ANY purchase that was getting ready to expire today, so I figured I would use it before I lose it. So for $1.59 (including tax) I got the apple scented hand sanitizer for my purse, and I got a Twilight Woods travel spray. It smelled good in the store, so hopefully that continues.

Then I went away from the lures of the mall and went into CVS.

So what you see in the picture is 2 three-packs of Winterfresh (yea...I chew a lot of gum) that were on sale 2/$3, CVS Dry skin lotion 1.49 (used a 1.00 off any CVS skin care item that I got from the Extracare card machine which made it .49) and a roll of CVS recycled TP - can never have enough- $1.15 (used 1.00off any CVS paper product coupon also from Extracare machine making it .15) Plus, the lovely machine also spit out a 1.50 off your purchase coupon.

My total started at 5.64 then after coupons went to 2.14+tax for everything pictured.

Tired yet? Well there is more...Walgreens!
The three packs of pens you see were on sale this week for 1.19 a pack, plus in the Walgreens circular there was a coupon for 1.00 off, making them each .19 per pack = .57 total. SCORE! Plus the Dawn also had a circular coupon making them .99 each, combined with a coupon I had for $1.00 off two, made them .49 each. Total for everything? 1.55+ tax.

IT GETS BETTER! The pens have a mail-rebate form on the back. For purchasing 3 packs, I'll receive a rebate for $4.50, which actually means I made $2.95 on the trip. WOOT!!

Last but never least in my heart....Target.
Everything in this picture had at least one coupon attached to it with the exception of the little post-its at the bottom right corner. They were on clearance for .25 and I had to have them. Before sales and coupons everything you see would have been: $39.07, my total after sales and coupons was: $14.49

Whew! No wonder I'm tired. If you read all of this, you deserve a cookie. :)

Kroger Samples

On Kroger's website they now have a page for free samples!

Now, Baltimore doesn't have Kroger, but I have heard about it from other people who live in other areas. You don't have to be a Kroger Plus Card Member to get these freebies from their site, but you do have to be a resident in one of the states where they have Kroger's (which leaves me out :sigh:). There are only about 15 states listed so when you click on the link to get your freebie, check the drop-down menu for states to see if you qualify.

Whole Foods Coupons

If you are a lover of Whole Foods stores, you can print coupons for their items directly off their website here. If you have manufacturer coupons, you can pair them up with the Whole Foods Coupons to get even better savings!

Here is another site that you can print Whole Foods coupons off of, but only for the month of April. Any coupon printed from here will be valid until 05/31/2010, so stock up on them while you can!

Personal Accomplishment

So...my slight neglect of my blog has paid off. Both papers I was working on for Grad School are both done and graded ( 94% on one and a 98% on the other). Whew!!!!!

Now I just have to get through the next two weeks of two finals and I will be done!! This has been a long semester and as much as I like my prof. I will be happy when it's over.

How-to articles

I want to do more "How-to" posts, for lack of a better term. How to gather, how to sort, where to find things, how to shop for them, etc etc etc.

I want to do all of this.....just not at the moment LOL

I have three weeks until the end of the semester I am in and a paper and two finals between now and then...soooo...more time to do what I fully want to do won't come in for a few weeks.

So stick around guys!! There will be more to come!

If anyone has anything they really want me to blog about, feel free to leave it in comments
